Duke of Essex Polo Trophy 2009 - A Huge Success!
Thousands of visitors flocked to Gaynes Park on the 4th July for The Duke of Essex Polo Trophy. This year's event, organised by Media 10, was bigger and better than ever before, and has been hailed a success by all invoved! Visitors were treated to an action packed day of high-goal polo, with GB beating Argentina 9-6; incredible air displays, a fabulous fun fair and some great live performances from the likes of Kelly Rowland and Jocelyn Brown. Plus there were plenty of celebs including Katie Price, Penny Lancaster, Michelle Heaton, Anthony Costa, Joe Cole, Dane Bowers, Kelly Rowland and many more! Katie Price has today been announced as the official Patron for the inaugural Duke of Essex Polo Trophy, in association with her chosen charity VISION.
Media 10 Ltd, the multi award winning events company, based in Epping who run Grand Designs Live is organising the Duke of Essex Polo Cup this year. Their event organising expertise and local knowledge will help to make this year's event truly spectacular. There will be something for everyone from families & kids, VIPs, horse lovers, thrill seekers & celebrities. This year the array of facilities and public areas are bigger and better than ever before!
We are incredibly excited to announce that KELLY ROWLAND of former Destiny's Child fame will be performing live at the Player's Marquee at tomorrow's Duke of Essex Polo Trophy.
The popular E4 sitcom, The Inbetweeners will be special guests at "The Biggest Outdoor Party In the UK this Year" in the POSHFUNK Official Player's After party.
Let Loose began life as 90's pop/rock trio Richie Wermerling, Rob Jeffrey and Lee Murray . The band had huge success with the release of the massive summer smash hit single "Crazy For You" which Richie wrote and co- produced. It raced to number 2 in the charts and remained there for 8 weeks. It was only held off the No.1 spot by rival band Wet Wet Wet's cover of 'Love is all around'. "Crazy for You" sold 600,000 copies. Let Loose will be performing a live acoustic version of Crazy For You at 10pm in Duke Marquee.
We are delighted to confirm the entertainment line-up in the Dukes Marquee, which is gauranteed to get you on the dance floor! The Dukes Marquee showcases live acts, singers and entertainment, lounge style seating and VIP areas for the more discerning clubber (aimed at the over 30's market).CONFIRMED ACTS INCLUDE: Kid Creole & The Coconuts who have a sting of 80's chart hits and regularly entertain crowds around the world, Jocelyn Brown the renowned soul singer, N-Joi known for their dance and house music hits, Bell & Spurling and the Ultimate 80's Disco.
This year the organisers have designed the event with comfort in mind, dedicating resources to make the event BIGGER and BETTER than ever before, with many new and improved facilities! This year we've laid on a dedicated bus service running from Epping tube/town centre to Gaynes park (from 11am-9pm), an onsite taxi rank, FREE parking, luxury toilet facilities, trade stalls and a plentiful array of catering facilities. On the afternoon of the Duke of Essex Polo Cup we are holding our very own show jumping challenge. This is your chance to enter a team of four Horses or Ponies of which two should be of 'Open standard' and two should be of 'Novice standard'. Show Jumping begins at 13:30.
