Known around the world as the 'Sport of Kings' polo never fails to attracts the great and good and this year the Duke of Essex Polo Grand Prix is set to be no different. The popularity of the event has seen it muscle in and firmly establish itself as part of the British Social Season and for the first time this year it has outgrown its original home and will be moving to the beautiful, Grade 2 Listed, Hylands House & Park estate just outside Chelmsford, the home of the now famous V Music Festival.
Set for Saturday July 13th and 14th, the new incarnation of the Duke of Essex Polo Grand Prix will see it bigger, better and bolder. Centered around a purpose built international standard polo arena, the event will see some of the world's best players compete for the honor of being crowned champions and lifting the trophy. Surrounding the sporting arena will be a myriad of entertainment including VIP marquees, headline music acts, family fun activity and country fayre with a luxury food village.
Once the players are rested and the horses tucked up soundly for the night, then the party really begins in earnest as the Marquees are transformed in to one off night spots with top club DJ's and performances from current acts and legends alike. Designed to keep the festivities going until the early hours, either of the Marquee events will be the perfect way to round off a true, top class sporting come social extravaganza.
